Fire Barrier / Party Wall Upgrade
An internal barrier system designed to inhibit the spread of fire and smoke from one roof space to another. Used in terraced and semi-detached houses to provide compartmentation at loft level in accordance with Technical Guidance Documentation.
Attic Compartmentation
Provided 60 minutes fire stopping to 5nr party walls in the roof space of 6nr dwellings in Dublin. The work consisted of fire stopping between the underside of the roofing felt and the top of the existing blockwork party walls. It also requires the firestopping between the underside of the roof slates and the top of the roofing felt. This was carried out from within the dwelling.
Timber Upgrading
Providing 60 minutes fire protection (structure integrity and insulation) to exposed joists at the Lighthouse off-licence, Co. Antrim. The work consisted of applying 60-minute paint system in 5 coats to exposed joists, with the soffit boarded with fire-line board.
Fire Curtain / Attic Compartmentation
An internal barrier system designed to inhibit the spread of fire and smoke from one roof space to another. Used in terraced and semi-detached houses (traditional and timber frame) and apartments to provide compartmentation at loft level in accordance with Technical Guidance Documentation.
Historic Door Upgrading
Upgrade existing thin flat panel doors to 30 minutes integrity using the Envirograf Card or Paint System, attach new ironmongery backed with intumescent material where required, insert fire and smoke seals in accordance with Technical Guidance documentation.
Fire Stopping
Passive fire products protect structural openings where services pass through building elements such as fire-rated ceilings, floors, and walls, to maintain their integrity. These intumescent systems of passive fire products are installed and remain passive until they are required to do their fire protection job.
